Upcoming Events

Most Carver training events are conducted several times each month for specific boards or associations. However, with sufficient lead time, we are able to list here those events which are open to the public. All presentations listed on this page are conducted either by Miriam Carver, John Carver, or by both, as noted. To attend one of these events, you are asked to contact the person indicated for permission and details.

• September 11-12, 2009 - An Introductory Training in Policy Governance in Atlanta, Georgia. No prior knowledge of the Policy Governance model is required. Conducted by Miriam Carver; introduced and moderated by John Carver. Tuition is $US 600 per person (with 20% discounts for each participant in excess of four from the same governing board).  Call 866-929-3480 to make your hotel reservations. • April 19-23, 2010 - Policy Governance® Academy^SM .  Advanced sessions conducted by Miriam and John Carver in theory and implementation for consultants and organizational leaders.  Proof of sufficient Policy Governance understanding for participation is judged by Miriam and John Carver based on a written application.  Participants will be limited to approximately 25.  Tuition is $US 4,500 per person.  For more information, contact Ivan Benson at ivanbenson@carvergovernance.com or phone 404-728-0091.  Call 866-929-3480 for hotel reservations. • May 24-28, 2010 - Policy Governance® Academy^SM .  Advanced sessions conducted by Miriam and John Carver in theory and implementation for consultants and organizational leaders, for persons not living in North America.  Proof of sufficient Policy Governance understanding for participation is judged by Miriam and John Carver based on a written application. Participants will be limited to approximately 25. Tuition is £2,500 per person. Sessions will be held at Birkbeck University, London, UK. Seminars in Atlanta, GA will be held at the Buckhead Hotel Atlanta (formerly the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel), 3405 Lenox Rd N.E., Atlanta, GA 30326.  Call 866-929-3480 to make reservations.  Be sure to make your reservations early to receive any discounted rate.

Note: tuition paid at the 20% discounted rate (for the Introductory Training ONLY) for all persons over four from the same governing board is nonrefundable. Cancellations will be refunded at the rate of 50%, or a voucher for full tuition at a future training will be issued (excepting the Policy Governance Academy) only if received two or more weeks prior to the start of the event. After that point tuition is nonrefundable.
